I had been at sea for the past two days and missed the feeling of solid land. However, the captain announced that we would arrive in Cyprus in a matter of hours. When we arrived at the seaport, I was greeted by the island's major, Montano. After a brief chat with the major, I met Othello's wife, Desdemona, who informed me that Othello's ship had not arrived yet, even though he had left before me. Suddenly, the sound of trumpets in the distance caught my attention, and I could see Othello and his attendants descending from his ship.
